Cape Henlopen State Park
Cape Henlopen State Park is a state park on Cape Henlopen, a peninsula at the southern tip of Delaware, in Sussex County. The park encompasses 5,193 acres (2,105 ha) and is home to a variety of natural resources, including beaches, dunes, forests, and wetlands. The park also has a number of historic sites, including the Fort Miles Military Museum, the Tweede Haven Site, and the Lewes Historical Society Museum.
Fort Miles Military Museum
The Fort Miles Military Museum is a museum dedicated to the history of Fort Miles, a coastal artillery fort that was built in the early 1900s. The museum has exhibits on the fort’s history, as well as on the role of coastal artillery in World War II.
